CAUSE OF DEATH: For clarification, this is sort of his third death. Philip, as a human, died 12 years prior and was reborn as a mass of code that somehow formed an apparently human body. He brushed death again when his code was broken down to give his power and information access to Wakana. After being pulled back from that, his body reformed but was very unstable. Transforming one last time into Kamen Rider Double caused him to destabilize to the point that he wouldn't be able to come out of the transformation. He shared a last conversation with Shotaro (keeping up a smile and picking on Shotaro for crying, though in the last moment he cried, himself) until Shotaro finally cancelled the transformation and he dissolved.
